Math Class "Snippet"

This was too funny not to share...

In math, we have been working on a variety of topics including: elapsed time, interpreting graphs, and adding coins.  Today's lesson started with mentally or visually adding coins to find the sum. 

The class was enjoying the activity, telling me how "easy" it was. Then the problems started to look a little different.  

Wait a minute! This clearly wasn't as "easy". Sam then announced that this was definitely fourth grade work.  Owen responded with, "No, it is more like high school!"  I really enjoyed math today! They did too!
